Art In Motion Dance, affectionately known as AiM to our families and dancers is Northern Virginia’s premier recreational dance company. We offer a wide variety of dance styles including ballet, tap, jazz, cheer, tumbling, lyrical, and adult dance classes for all ages and skill levels.

Our team of well- trained and dedicated instructors bring only the highest level of expertise, energy, and care to each class. As a non-competitive studio, we focus on creating a positive, supportive environment where dancers can grow, express themselves, and build confidence.

Our students enjoy multiple performance opportunities throughout the year as a way to showcase their hard work and passion for dance. We are proud to serve the community by offering yearly free shows, sharing the joy of dance with everyone. Additionally, we offer fun and engaging summer camps to keep the rhythm going all year long. Our Teaching Philosophy

Art in Motion Dance is a premier dance program. We are dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing space for children to explore their artistic abilities. Our goal while teaching students is to help them develop their physical, creative, imaginative, emotional and intellectual capacities. Our professionally trained staff encourages each individual student to reach their full potential in all these areas while in class.

Art in Motion Dance uses the Joy of Dance children’s syllabus, created by Marilyn Baird. This syllabus is an introduction to the joys of dancing that integrates the Royal Academy of Dance Pre-Primary and Primary programs.  The curriculum for our program is comprised of ballet, musical theater, tap, jazz, hip hop and modern/contemporary. The company takes pride in producing demonstrations, recitals and full production shows to give our students an opportunity to perform and allow parents to take part in their growth as an artist.
