MUSICAL THEATER JAZZ II

Musical theater dance class combines jazz technique and introduces students to a Broadway style of dance. This class focuses on intermediate/advanced jazz warm-up, center floor work, progressions, kicks, leaps, turns, splits and isolations. Your child will be a dancing Broadway star on Parent Watch Day!

This class is for students who have already completed our Intro to Ballroom Class or who have equivalent experience. We will continue to develop more advanced skills in Waltz, Foxtrot, Cha-Cha, Rumba and Swing and explore all aspects of ballroom dance!

INTRODUCTION TO BALLROOM DANCE

This introductory class gives brand new dancers a great foundation in footwork, musicality, and lead follow in most of the ballroom and rhythm dances. Each month will focus on a different style of ballroom. Students will learn to Waltz, Foxtrot, Cha-Cha, Rumba and Swing! The instructors for this class are Jeff Virchow and Allie O’Hare who helped train none other than Vernon Davis for his debut on Dancing With The Stars!

SENIOR COMPANY CLASS (BALLET, TAP & JAZZ)

Prerequisite dance training in Junior Company or equivalent experience. New students may have to audition for this class. Students advance in training in four dance forms: classical ballet, focusing on coordination, musicality and performance quality, advanced/intermediate tap, jazz and contemporary.
